The Lost Land Adventure

It’s a fantastic, unique adventure when you visit Sinai. The story goes that for more than 35 million years this place was submerged in water, and beautiful rocks formed under the Red Sea. Aftter millions of years, the water has subsided, showing this lost land. It is now 1600 meters above sea level.

Itinerary
A ToursSharm.com Rep. will pick you up from your hotel in Sharm El-Sheikh in the early morning and drive you towards Dahab and Nuweiba through the mountain range.

We will stop at a fjord bay of clear crystal water between the mountains – it is an amazing natural formation, just make sure your camera has full charge, because there are a lot of views you won’t want to miss out on!

Our next stop will be at a Bedouin tent for a rest, where you will have your Bedouin herbal tea, then we drive into the desert to take a first panoramic view of “The Lost Land“. The rock formation there is similar to the famous Grand Canyon in the USA, and the stunning view shows prehistoric lava and how it flowed from the top of the cliff which is 1800 meters above sea level; a beautiful view across Saudi Arabia and Jordan.

Then we travel to the Colored Canyon, the rock formations of the canyon and its walls are very rare, and it is a breathtaking view. The silence adds a calming feeling to the colored canyon, and this place is definitely worth a visit.

– But Remember to keep your hands free, as you might need them to support yourself, especially at the beginning of the tour because you will walk for 250 meters through the canyon rocks and discover the rocks’ shapes and extraordinary colors which were naturally formed, so be ready to have some fun and go on an adventure!

Note: The Canyon contains narrow passes at times, so for those who don’t feel comfortable with this, you can take a brief time out and not participate in this part of the tour.

At the end of the canyon pass we will return to the jeep and complete our adventure, into the heart of the desert in the sand dunes, to the Bedouin tent to have a rest and drinks, then it’s a short amble through the surrounding rocks to watch an amazing underground tunnel.

Next Stop, we will reach a place with mysterious carvings, dating back thousands of years. It is said it is the faces of Marc Anthony and Cleopatra which were carved by the second part of the Romans’ trip.

Taba will be our next stop, with a sea trip by yacht around the Pharaoh Islands and there will be a chance to visit Saladin’s castle, named after the famous historical figure who built it. You will be able to swim or snorkel for half an hour, and you will also be able to have your lunch on the yacht.

We will return at approximately 5 pm, where we will go back to Sharm El-Sheikh and drive you to your hotel, but as per the time of return, that will give you a chance to watch the amazing changing colors of the mountains in the fading sunlight.

  Currency is set to GBP but you can pay in US Dollars or Euros. The price is per person per tour, and once you’ve confirmed your excursion, the price will not be changed.

• Payment:

  For this tour a down payment of £30 will be required upon your arrival to Sharm El-Sheikh a maximum of 2 days before the tour, and the remaining balance will be required in cash on pick up from hotel on the tour day.

• Cancellation Policy:

  Cancellation of this tour must be made 24 hours before the tour date – “No Refund”.
