Excursion by ferry to Petra “the rose red city” – is one of the greatest wonders ever wrought by nature and humans. The unique tourist attraction was carved more than 2000 years ago into the sheer rock face by “the Nabataeans” – the Arab people who settled in this area.

Our ToursSharm.com rep. will accompany you from your hotel in Sharm El-Sheikh around midnight in an air-conditioned vehicle to travel to Taba city. It will take approximately three hours to reach Taba Marine.
Your ferry will sail for about an hour to the Royal Yacht Club marine in Aqaba (Jordon).
There you will find our representative waiting for you to meet and assist with all the arrival formalities, then you will travel to Petra, which will take around two and half hours.

We will arrive at Petra at about 11 am, where we will start the tour with a walk in the “Siq” – a narrow gorge into the city of Petra. You will see many things like carvings, water channels, and representations of the Nabataean gods in this amazing natural canyon through the towering rock.

Then you will reach the Khazneh “Treasury” – the ancient tomb which is carved into the cliff face. The legend tells us that the treasure was hidden at the top in the Urn.

Then comes Petra theatre. This theatre played an important role in Nabataeanculture; some assume that it was built by the Romans, but it’s actually Nabataean and was constructed long before the Romans came to Petra.

You can’t miss visiting the Royal Tombs! To reach them you have to climb a stairway to the famous Urn tomb, which was used as a place of worship in the Byzantine Empire time, and also the Silk tomb, which is a small tomb beside the Urn. Then a visit to the tomb of Sesto Fiorentino and Corinthian tomb is an equally fascinating experience, after which you can have lunch in a local restaurant. We will then start to travel back to Aqaba Marine, to take the ferry to Taba Marine and return to Sharm El-Sheikh and drive back to your hotel at approximately 11 pm.

  Currency is set to GBP but you can pay in US Dollars or Euros. The price is per person per tour, and once you’ve confirmed your excursion, the price will not be changed.

• Payment:

  For this tour a down payment of £50 will be required upon your arrival to Sharm El-Sheikh a maximum of 2 days before the tour, and the remaining balance will be required in cash on pick up from hotel on the tour day.

• Cancellation Policy:

  Cancellation of this tour must be made 48 hours before the tour date – “No Refund”.

• Children Policy:

  0 – 01.99 Years old will pay depature tax only.
  2 – 11.99 Years old Discount -10 £.
  12+ Years old pay full price.
