Excursion to St. Catherine Monastery and Dahab from Sharm is the one of the best excursions in Sharm El-Sheikh.
The monastery is located beside the place where God talked to Moses, beneath the Mount of the Decalogue, and it is said to be the oldest one in the world.

During Emperor Maximinus’ time, Saint Catherine was born in Alexandria in194 AD from an aristocratic family. Also known as Zorossiaccant, she was a beautiful woman whom believed in Christianity and was highly educated. All loved her, but she refused to everybody.
Nearly three centuries after the death of Saint Catherine, her remains lie with the monks of the Monastery; you can also learn about the 50 preachers while you are touring the Monastery.

Itinerary:

Our ToursSharm.com rep. will pick you up in the morning from your hotel at approximately 6 am and in an air-conditioned vehicle, where we will travel to the Saint Catherine monastery. The duration of the journey is around two and a half hours.

The Monastery contains priceless multicultural mosaics, icons, illuminated manuscripts, oil paintings, and the remains of the monks who lived in the Monastery. It is also home to the Moses Well, which was built around the tree which caught fire and guided Moses to speak to “ALLAH“. The Monastery contains the second largest library of manuscripts after the Vatican.

After the excursion, you will have your lunch in a local restaurant, and drive to a shopping tour in Dahab City. We will then drive back to Sharm el-Sheikh and your hotel at approximately 5 pm.

  Currency is set to GBP but you can pay in US Dollars or Euros. The price is per person per tour, and once you’ve confirmed your excursion, the price will not be changed.

• Payment:

  For this tour a down payment of £10 will be required upon your arrival to Sharm el Sheikh a maximum of 1 day before the tour, and the remaining balance will be required in cash on pick up from hotel on the tour day.

• Cancellation Policy:

  Cancellation of this tour must be made 24 hours before the tour date – “No Refund”.
