Drive around 2 and a half hours to The Monastery of St. Catherine.

The Monastery of St. Catherine

The Monastery is located beside the place where God talked to Moses, beneath the Mount of the Decalogue, and It is said that it is the oldest one in the world.

Saint Catherine the beautiful woman – listen to her story of believing in Christianity during Emperor Maximenus’s persecution time from your tour guide to know what happened after nearly three centuries from the death of Saint Catherine, and discover the monks of the Monastery. Also, learn about the 50th preachers while you are touring the Monastery.

The Monastery contains priceless multicultural pieces such as mosaics, icons, illuminated manuscripts, oil paintings and remains of the monks who lived in the monastery. Also, it is said that the well of Moses was built around the tree which caught fire and guided the Prophet Moses to speak to “ALLAH”. It also contains the second largest library of manuscripts after the Vatican library’s, and you will have the chance to see all these sights.

The Colored Canyon

Then we will move to the Colored Canyon with adventure and fun. The rock formations of the canyon are wonderful, but remember to keep your hands free, as you might need them to support yourself especially at the start of the tour, because you will be going down 250 m. to walk for 90 minutes through the canyon rocks and discovering the nature of the shapes of the rocks, along with the extraordinary colors which were naturally formed.

Then we will move to Nuweiba to have lunch in a local restaurant with a possibility of a short time snorkeling and relaxing.

Then start to move back to your hotel in Sharm El-Sheikh approximately 18:00 pm.

  Currency is set to GBP but you can pay in US Dollars or Euros. The price is per person per tour, and once you’ve confirmed your excursion, the price will not be changed.

• Payment:

  For this tour a down payment of £10 will be required upon your arrival to Sharm el Sheikh a maximum of 1 day before the tour, and the remaining balance will be required in cash on pick up from hotel on the tour day.

• Cancellation Policy:

  Cancellation of this tour must be made 24 hours before the tour date – “No Refund”.
